The Shipfuels Matrix is an interactive tool designed to support the consistent evaluation of alternative maritime fuel pathways on a well-to-wake basis.
As maritime shipping explores a growing number of alternative fuel options, information on feedstocks, production pathways, fuel properties, technology maturity and environmental performance is often fragmented. This interactive tool, developed by LBST and commissioned by Concawe, Aramco and CMA CGM, brings these elements together into a common, data-driven framework. Users can compare pathways across key indicators, including greenhouse gas emissions, process efficiency, feedstock availability, technology maturity, fuel properties and application-related considerations, helping to support informed discussion and decision-making.
