The importance of carbon capture and storage technology in European refineries (Concawe Review 27.1)
This article describes the importance of carbon capture and storage (CCS) in meeting future emission targets. It presents an evaluation of the costs of retrofitting CCS technology in a range of existing refineries, and considers the reasons why these estimates are significantly larger than the estimated costs of CO2 capture for other sources, e.g. power generation, cement and steel production, etc.
